Research Description
Dr. Taniuchi received her PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Virginia. She works with Eric Houpt, MD, and William Petri, Jr., MD, in developing molecular diagnostic assays to detect enteric pathogens that cause diarrhea and malnutrition. Her focus is to develop assays on platforms that can be used in low resource settings such as Bangladesh, Pakistan, Tanzania, and Thailand to study etiology of diarrhea and vaccine efficacy.

Also, he served as Visiting Fellows at The Australian National University and other universities and research institutes in the US and Europe. Prof. Khuda has provided consultancy services to, and directed research projects for, various UN agencies, the World Bank, etc. He has contributed to programme design, sector reforms and institutional capacity building; and participates in technical committees, advisory bodies and evaluation teams. Prof. Khuda has published numerous books and monographs; many articles in leading international journals such as Population an
