    About Ashish Shakya

Ashish Shakya is a part of the renowned AIB, India’s edgiest comedy collective. He has been part of some of the collective’s most ambitious projects, including AIB Knockout (India’s first ever comedy roast), AIB Diwas (a full day open-air comedy show), On Air with AIB (the satirical news show telecast on prime-time television and Hotstar), and AIB Presents Royal Turds (a Bollywood-themed spoof award show).

In 2006, Ashish decided to pursue comedy writing full-time, after discarding his freshly-minted engineering degree. Since then, he has gone on to become a celebrated comedy writer in India.

Not only has Ashish performed hundreds of stand-up comedy shows around the country, he has also written for various brands, such as the Filmfare Awards, ET Now, the Hero Group, and the Aditya Birla Group. He even had a humour column in The Hindustan Times, aptly titled “The Blunder Years“, which had a loyal following. Additionally, he co-wrote the popular news comedy show The Week That Wasn’t with Cyrus Broacha on CNN-IBN.

Ashish also has a comedy special out on Amazon, titled “Ashish Shakya – Life Is Good“. He used to write comedy articles for magazines and on his blog, an

    All India Bakchod

    Indian creative agency

All India Bakchod[a] (abbreviated as AIB) was a Mumbai-based comedy company which created an eponymous podcast, YouTube channel and ran a production company. The name is a parody of All India Radio. It began in 2012 as a humour/pop-culture podcast co-started by comedians Tanmay Bhat and Gursimran Khamba.[2] Their friends and contemporary comedians, Rohan Joshi and Ashish Shakya were frequent guests[3] and the four co-founded the YouTube channel in 2013 and began making sketches.[4] They subsequently formed a digital agency and produced sketches, live comedy and TV shows.[5]

In October 2018, the company halted operation and fired its entire staff, after Bhat and Khamba were implicated in two separate sexual harassment allegations. No formal charges were made but the company dissolved in May 2019.[6] Khamba was dissatisfied with the independent investigation into the allegation against him and has since disassociated himself from the company and brand. The company's four founders continue to work in the comedy circuit. Bhat, Joshi and Shakya continue to collaborate independently. The company's social media accounts and YouTube channel are dormant.[6]
